Heart Hollow is a queer slow-burn novel series that's currently being posted chapter by chapter to AO3.
Book 1 is scheduled to have a late 2025 release date as a physical novel.
Welcome to Heart Hollow, Pennsylvania.
In decades past, this small town’s Honeymoon Hotel & Resort was highly influential to local culture. Today, the grounds lay derelict and wild... Yet by some strange miracle, the doors remain open to the public.
Even though the townspeople avoid the old Hotel like the plague these days, they keep a watchful eye as to what happens within those moody purple walls.
The neglectful Resort owner Mr. Wright employs very eclectic people; his assistant manager Lewis Lockheart is a local celebrity of sorts due to his last name, and rumor has it, he’s got himself a new assistant from outside of town.
Of course, new-hire Zeke just washes up into Heart Hollow looking to lay low, but he quickly finds himself drowning in some small town’s generational story of theatrical loss, intimate romance, and inescapable fate.
There’s remnants of the town’s history tucked within the mountainous land; to find it, Zeke must study the out-of-date design choices of the Hotel, expose the secrets of his coworkers and their kin, as well as listen to the outlandish wives’ tales about their local love god Cupid.
While Zeke is deeply curious about Heart Hollow, will he be able to uncover the whole story before he skips town again?
First and foremost, what’s keeping this old place open? After all, the Hotel is severely struggling with money, maintenance, and mismanagement.
How did the awful Mr. Wright get ownership of the Hotel, and why does everybody in town believe that the previous owner simply vanished?
Why does Lewis put up with the very apparent mistreatment at work, and why does he get so much unwanted attention in public?
Lastly: is it just the work of Cupid, or is Zeke actually falling for his new boss Lewis?
